Lately..

Life at the Mullis home (basement), has been quite a whirlwind lately. Here is a quick re-cap of the past month or so:

- Rihanna concert in Vegas. AMaaaaaaZing!

- Finals. Finally over.

- Little League baseball games

- Sunshine

- Our favorite new appliance...a Blendtec :)

- Using our Blendtec to make delicious green smoothies for breakfast and dinner.

- Applying for our next humanitarian trip to ITALY.

- Sleepovers in the front room.

- Food Network and more food network. (much to Ryan's dismay)

- Starting our favorite of all: the 90 day Book of Mormon challenge!

We realize that we will probably always be busy, but we both agree that we have to MAKE the time to slow down and enjoy our lives! I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful man by my side who celebrates life every step of the way, even when things get hectic and crazy.

Maroon 5

Ryan and I were lucky enough to get to go to the Maroon 5 concert in Vegas a few weekends ago! The tickets were for Ryan's birthday and we were finally able to get to use them. Oh boy, we had a blast! The concert was incredible and SO much fun! I had already lost my voice by the time Neon Trees (opening act) was done. We were pretty close to the stage, which was fun because when the lead guitarist fell off, we got to see it up close and personal! :) He played it off really well, but I was laughing for a solid 2 minutes I think.

It was so nice to get away for a couple days and go have a blast doing something we both love! Just ask Ryan, he can't WAIT to go to Rihanna's concert in April. ;)

Here's a little snippet of the concert. Enjoy!

Water Works

Hey hey! Since my last post, as I'm sure you may have already heard, we sent off the Drumasta to the MTC! He was so excited and so were we! I am so proud of that boy. He has been my right hand man for my entire life, and we have been best friends forever. Of course, I'm going to miss him, but it's just 2 years and he is doing something WAY more important now. He's such a stud and I can't wait to hear from him this week to see how his first week in the MTC was.

So, this song has always reminded me of Drewtikus. EVERY TIME. Well, I listen to it all the time..and usually it's just a really great song that reminds me of my little brotha. Well, unfortunately, I just learned the hard way of what this song does to me now that he's gone. When it shuffles through and starts playing on my I-Tunes I slowly start tearing up and then BAM, the water works!! I forget that when I'm missing someone, music is the one thing that pulls on my heartstrings the most. So, I have to be a lot more careful now to try and avoid those songs that create the emotional breakdowns. :)
