Hi there! Just wanted to share a fun project me and Ryan worked on last night, that turned out to be, well, another learning experience! So, just for a quick back story, when we first moved into our apartment, we were given a couch by our sweet friends. We were so thankful, as we really didn't know how we were going to buy a bunch of furniture right away. Ryan said he was going to move it in while I was at work. I got home that night and was a little bit puzzled....I was really grateful to have a couch, but wasn't really sure what on earth to do with it. It didn't match ANYTHING we had and it was pretty big, so I didn't know where to put it. Well, after a couple weeks of just staring at this huge mass of couch, not knowing what to do, I finally thought we should use some of our gift cards to go buy a couch cover or something. I didn't exactly know what would actually help. So, we took a trip to Bed, Bath, and Beyond last night and found a couch cover. We started getting creative, and found some super cute black and gold pillows to decorate it with! Ryan even did his best to have a designers eye and help me. :) Now, you ask what lesson we learned from this, right? Okay, here it is. This couch that at first glance was just uninspiring and blah, quickly turned into a piece of furniture that we are proud to show off, all because of a simple couch cover and pillows! Now, I look at it in a completely new light, and I love it! How often are we too quick to judge? Seriously. I know I am very guilty of this. You never know someone's true potential until you look at them the way the Lord would. Wouldn't it be amazing if we could look at others the way the Lord does, on the first glance? I want to work harder at this, for sure! I know it may be silly to use this couch that we have re decorated as an example, but it's seriously what I think now every time I look at it! Now, feel free to come on over and relax with us on our new, beautiful, couch! :)
